TRINITY 2 Pan Axis

Your freedom to move.

Expand Your TRINITY 2

The TRINITY 2 you already know — now with the option of a third stabilized axis.

Pan Axis adds electronically stabilized pan to TRINITY 2’s familiar 2-axis body-worn configuration into a compact, fully stabilized 3-axis remote head.

Move from body-mount to a crane, vehicle, dolly, or other hard-mounted application without changing your stabilization platform. The camera package, electronics, and familiar TRINITY 2 workflow remain the same.

One system. More possibilities.

Key Features

1

A Third Stabilized Axis

Add electronically stabilized pan to the existing Tilt → Roll architecture of TRINITY 2 for fully stabilized 3-axis operation.
2

Body-Worn to Remote Head

Move from familiar 2-axis body-worn operation to a compact 3-axis remote head without changing your underlying stabilization platform.
3

Pan → Tilt → Roll Order of Axis

Pan forms the outermost stabilized axis around the existing Tilt → Roll assembly, allowing the Pan Axis to be added or removed while the core TRINITY 2 and camera payload remains unchanged.
4

Continuous 360° Roll

Maintain the continuous roll capability of TRINITY 2 for creative camera movement in both manually operated and programmed shots. Sync roll and Zoom with a cforce motor!
5

RCP-3 Remote Operation

Configure and remotely operate TRINITY 2 through the same compact RCP-3 delivered with the system.
6

ARRI DRW Wheels

Operate pan, tilt, and roll using ARRI Digital Remote Wheels for precise traditional remote-head control.
7

FoMa PanBar Control

Operate TRINITY 2 through a FoMa Pan Bar interface for a familiar physical approach to remotely controlled camera movement.
8

External Joystick Control

LBUS connected External Joystick control when the application or operating preference calls for a different interface.
9

Wired + Wireless Workflows

Separate the operator from the TRINITY 2 for remote operation.
10

Programmable Movement

Use the electronic stabilization and control capabilities of TRINITY 2 you already use to create precise and repeatable camera movements when the shot demands, now including Pan.

TRINITY 2 Pan Axis for Advanced Camera Movement

More Than a Third Axis

Pan Axis does more than add another motor to TRINITY 2. In traditional body-mount operation, TRINITY 2 electronically stabilizes tilt and roll while pan remains mechanically controlled by the operator. This preserves the direct physical relationship between operator and camera. Add Pan Axis and electronically stabilized pan becomes available when the application requires it, transforming the same stabilization platform into a compact 3-axis remote head. The result is not another stabilization system. It is another way to use TRINITY 2.

Modularity Built Into the Order of Axis

With Pan Axis installed, TRINITY 2 follows a Pan → Tilt → Roll Order of Axis. Pan surrounds the existing Tilt → Roll assembly as the outermost stabilized axis. Because the fundamental stabilization architecture remains at the center of the system, Pan Axis can be added or removed without changing the core TRINITY 2 configuration or camera payload.

Without Pan Axis: Tilt → Roll, with pan mechanically controlled by the operator.

With Pan Axis: Pan → Tilt → Roll, with electronically stabilized pan for hard-mounted and remotely operated applications.

From Body-Mount to Remote Head

TRINITY 2 can stay with the operator when a shot requires direct camera movement, changing lens heights, confined spaces, or free movement through a set or live environment. When the camera needs to leave the operator, Pan Axis allows the same system to move onto a dolly, crane, vehicle, tracking platform, or other hard-mounted application requiring remote operation. The camera package, stabilization system, electronics, and familiar operating environment remain centered around TRINITY 2 as the application changes.

Choose How You Operate

Once TRINITY 2 is hard-mounted with Pan Axis, pan, tilt, and roll can be commanded remotely through the TRINITY 2 control ecosystem. Use the compact RCP-3 for system configuration and remote operation, ARRI DRW Wheels for traditional wheel control, or a Pan Bar and External Joystick. Wired and wireless workflows allow the control position to be separated from the camera platform when direct physical operation is impractical.

One System. More Possibilities.

A sequence may call for body-worn shot, another for programmed or repeatable movement for visual effects, and another for a camera to be operated remotely. Pan Axis allows TRINITY 2 to address more of those requirements through the same underlying stabilization platform. For the operator, that means more creative and practical options from the system they already know. For production, it means greater efficiency across changing setups: less time switching between specialized equipment, fewer separate systems required for specific sequences, and the ability to carry the same camera package and stabilization platform from body-worn operation to hard-mounted remotely controlled movement.

Award-Winning Technology. Continuing to Evolve.

TRINITY 2 has established itself across feature films, television, live events, award shows, concerts, sports, and productions around the world. In 2025, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honored the development of TRINITY 2 with a Scientific and Engineering Award, followed in 2026 by an Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy® Award recognizing its impact on television production. Pan Axis continues that evolution — not by changing what TRINITY 2 is, but by extending where and how an operator can choose to use it.

Expand Your TRINITY 2

Add a third stabilized axis and extend where your TRINITY 2 can go.

TRINITY 2 Pan Axis — available directly from FoMaSystems.

What does the TRINITY 2 Pan Axis do?

Pan Axis adds electronically stabilized pan to the existing Tilt → Roll architecture of TRINITY 2, allowing the system to operate as a fully stabilized 3-axis remote head.

Can I add Pan Axis to my existing TRINITY 2?

Yes. Pan Axis is designed to expand the existing TRINITY 2 platform by attaching to the TRINITY 2 head.

Can TRINITY 2 still be used body-worn?

Yes. The modular Order of Axis allows TRINITY 2 to retain its familiar body-worn Tilt → Roll configuration and add stabilized pan when the application requires it.

Why does Order of Axis matter?

Pan forms the outermost stabilized axis around the existing Tilt → Roll assembly. This allows the third axis to extend the existing TRINITY 2 architecture rather than requiring a separate stabilization platform.

Where can TRINITY 2 with Pan Axis be used?

Pan Axis expands TRINITY 2 into hard-mounted and remotely operated applications such as dollies, cranes, vehicles, tracking platforms, and many other creative applications.

How can TRINITY 2 with Pan Axis be controlled?

Remote operation is available through RCP-3, ARRI DRW Wheels, PanBar, or an external joystick, with wired and wireless workflow options.

Do I need to rebuild my camera package when changing configurations?

The Order of Axis is designed so the existing Tilt → Roll assembly and camera package remain untouched in the TRINITY 2 ring as Pan Axis is added or removed.
