When the sports and broadcast industry talks about the future, it often happens in conference rooms. At SportsInnovation 2026, it happens on the field. Two days, three stages, fully booked exhibition areas, and a guest list spanning over 20 countries underline the scale of the event. Held at the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA in Düsseldorf, the event has established itself as one of Europe’s leading platforms for sports broadcasting, live production technology, and camera innovation.
Within this environment, FoMaSystems demonstrated how a modern remote camera head for sports broadcasting performs under real-world conditions. The remote head FoMa Antares was not presented as a standalone product. It was integrated into multiple setups throughout the event, showing its flexibility as a camera stabilization system for live production.
In aerial applications, FoMa Antares was used in combination with Spidercam systems. This setup enables dynamic overhead shots with precise stabilization and control, even at high speeds. Such perspectives have become essential in modern sports broadcasting, where audiences expect immersive and cinematic visuals.
On the ground, FoMa Antares was paired with the AGITO by Motion Impossible. This robotic camera system allows operators to capture smooth, high-speed tracking shots without traditional dolly tracks. Combined with FoMa Antares as a stabilized remote head, it forms a highly mobile and efficient broadcast camera rig.
