FoMa Antares marks a new benchmark in stabilized remote head technology — the most advanced camera stabilization system ever developed by FoMaSystems.
Built on a foundation of close collaboration with industry professionals, FoMa Antares was designed to adapt to the evolving creative demands of modern production environments like live broadcast and high-end cinematography.
“FoMa Antares is a bold step forward in stabilized camera technology,” says Rainer Maertin, CEO of FoMaSystems. “It ensures stable, controlled, high-quality shots even in high-pressure scenarios. We’re excited to unveil it to the world.”
What is FoMa Antares?
FoMa Antares is a mechatronic system that enables operators to fully control and stabilize professional camera systems remotely, including pan, tilt, roll, and FIZ (Focus, Iris, Zoom). It’s designed to be mounted on a variety of support systems – such as cranes, dollies, tracking vehicles, or robotic arms – and delivers smooth, cinematic motion in even the most dynamic or vibration-heavy environments.
Built for Broadcast. Designed for Cinematography.
Engineered with a rigid and symmetrical design, the FoMa Antares remote head delivers maximum stability and control in a compact form factor – 25% smaller than the ARRI 360 EVO, yet packing the same professional punch. Built for high-performance workflows without compromise, it weighs only 13 kg (28.7 lbs) while supporting payloads up to 22.5 kg (50 lbs), making it ideal for even the heaviest setups.
Already in action: FoMa Antares was recently used during the production of American Idol 2025 in collaboration with Spidercam and ROSS Video — proof of its reliability in complex live environments.
Efficient Design and Seamless Integration
Designed for efficiency, it offers a fast and simple setup, making it ideal for on-location work or high-pressure broadcast environments. The LAN interface ensures seamless integration, while worldwide remote head control opens up powerful possibilities for global productions and live environments. Built on our Forge hardware platform and running the Evolve 1.0 software suite, it supports full fibre and SDI passthrough and delivers a robust metadata output stream – perfect for augmented reality, record and playback, and smooth third-party integration. Integrated lens control for Fujinon and Canon ENG lenses.
Configurable to Match Any Workflow
FoMa Antares is launching in six configurations, covering various axle types and connectivity options to suit a wide range of production needs:
- 11” Hollow Axle
- 11” Slip-Ring / SDI
- 11” Slip-Ring Fibre / SDI
